The T639 and R500 are different models, although they do look almost exactly the same.

T639 will be T-Mobiles first 3G phone to utilize the WCDMA 1700mhz band. Being presently sold in a few select NYC T-Mobile stores.

Since Alltel is CDMA, and T-Mobile is GSM, I'd have to say: no.

If saw the T639, you'd understand the confusion. They do look almost exactly the same.
