I am thinking of getting the Verizon Q9M. However I have read mixed comments on the call signal strength. Can any Verizon Q9M users comment on this? I live in Boston.

I don't have the Q9m for Verizon, however I do own the Q9c, which has the same hardware as the Q9m. With that out of the way I can say that the signal strength indicator isn't very optimistic, at my house the signal indicated is usually 0-2 bars of EV-DO. Even with the low signal I have never had a problem with the phone switching to slower 1X data speeds or missed calls. The calls are very clear and much better then my old At&t V3XX with full signal, and the data speeds are usually between 400kbps and 600kbps. Overall I believe this phone has excellent signal strength, even if it doesn't appear so at first glance.

I also just got the Q9C I'd have to say the signal strength is pretty decent. I had a Muziq before the screen cracked and at work (in a church) it'd change service areas all the time and at times would miss calls and what not.
The Q9C seems to have good signal strength in my opinion. I guess I'd have to compare it to other phones besides 1 phone.
