I happened to stumble on the answer for this on this website. You've probably done everything right in your phonebook except for one thing. When you enter the phone number, enter only the AREA CODE AND 7-DIGIT PHONE NUMBER. For example, 555-555-5555. Don't put a "1" in front, and don't leave out the area code (even for a local call!). This worked for me. I get the correct color display and the individual ringtone.
The problem I'm still trying to solve is how to make this phone work with my handsfree car kit. Any thoughts?
