Dissapointed in Camera Performance

by EdDiEaDaMsFrOmToRrAnCe    Oct 29, 2007, 9:25 PM

The phone as a whole is near perfect. Love the design; its solid, surprisingly small, ergonomic, soft keys easy to use, intuitive(as always) SE UI, beautiful screen, operates quickly, blah blah blah....Everything is great except the main selling point, the camera.
Not saying that it isn't impressive, but as long as we waited for this phone it should be better. It should blow away any other 5mp camera phone out there, but it doesn't. Overall because of features it slightly edges others. (xenon flash+l.e.d., photo options) The image quality IMO should have been like that of a stand-alone digital camera of similiar mp's. And the video should have been vga. 3x internal optical zoom would have been nice too. It's suppose to be imaging king w/o a question. Also, god forbid, if you hold it slightly wrong when taking low-light pics it produces a crappy dark photo. Perhaps they'll get the successor right. It's still a great phone w/a good camera and as of right now your best option for a camera phone, but the n82 and g800 aren't far from release. Hate the OS and UI of nokia and samsung though. Nokia always freezing. K i vented.
