The day after Thanksgiving guys!!!

Snarlynx

I work for AT&T and saw this phone from a rep like 2 months ago and he said it was coming out the day after Thanksgiving. Now I know that phones usually come out on Tuesday and that delays are possible (N75 anyone?) but seeing as how the 810i is end of life and phonescoop says the 850 is coming late 4th quarter, Everything I heard seems to be lining up. I wonder what the price will be though? I would guess $199 after a $100 rebate or $450 outright. That's just me guessing though.

That's not really highend considering Asia and Europe have both had phones at that resolution for over a year now.

Looking over AT&T's website and price lists, I'm gonna say this is probably gonna be 199 with 2 year contract like Snar said. Maybe less with rebate, as that is a busy shopping time and there are many other phones being released from other makers in late Q4 as well.

All in all, I know what's on my christmas list this year, as we are finally getting AT&T natively here in Alaska around that same time, and I've been wanting to trade up my W810i for a long time now. It's become my default camera and it's great at the bar or on vacation. I think the 850 is going to carry on that tradition, and the styling is so unique and eye...

Oh yeah, really? Which ones? The first 5MP device has been the N95. And this phone was available (globally) this year.

See, here is where the internet put's peoples' ignorance up for public display.

Not only are you completely wrong, but because you also got an attitude with me about it, I am going to enjoy educating you on just how wrong you are.

Flat out wrong. The world first 5 megapixel camera phone was the Samsung SCH-S250, released in Q4 2004. The Nokia N95 came out more then two years after this.

Oh yeah, really? Which ones?

Other then the above SCH-S250, Samsung announced the much improved 7 megapixel SCH-V770 just four months later at the 2005 CeBit. That same year, Pantech released the IM-8600 and 8700, both

I knew about the Samsung handset you mentioned in the begginning of your post,...BUT isn't Grundig a company that makes shortwave radios??? That's close to the bottom of your post.

By the way, I intend of buying the K850. I like it a lot.

Ok, here is a guess, but just cause the phone has the 850/1900MHz 3G bands on it, doesn't mean that its definitely coming to AT&T. It could be that SE just like other companies decided to put those bands on the phones to make them usable by more customers since AT&T has their 3G network up already.

Even $450 outright w/o contract isn't all that bad! Not for a phone as sophisticated as this one, ...I don't think!

Heck, I'm not going to have a enough cash until Nov.30 anyway.

If you know where to get a wired earpiece, and wired stereo headset for the K850 please let me know. I should probably get a spare battery too, but I'm not paying $40 at an ATT store for a battery!
