This happened to me as well with a ringtone I downloaded off the VZW Tones Deluxe app. No matter what the volume setting the ringtone blasted out at the same super loud level. Try powering the phone off and turning back on. This solved the problem for me. Remember, a cell phone is just a small computer, and this is the first fix any IT department will have you try on almost any computer problem.
