Like I stated in the news release for this phone. There is no depression or click with the samsung touch sensitive keys. If you text a lot I highly recommend you try before you buy. I had a horrible experience with this model in it's gsm version. The keypad ruined what could've been a great phone for me.

There most certainly is tactile feedback when using the keypad. The Ultra Edition 9.6 (U300) uses a touch keypad with vibration feedback, but this phone is based off the Ultra Edition 9.9 (D830)

I irc on my Samsung A727, while there are better devices for this and texting, it isn't as bad as you think. It's more getting used to then anything else.

The D830 is what I had and it has no vibrating feedback unless that was later added.

There is tactile feedback on the Fin. The keypad is perfectly flat and smooth, but when you press down on key, you can feel a definite "click". It's certainly not touch.

I know what you mean about the Ultra phone this is based on. When I tried the Ultra 9.6 (U300) at 3GSM, I was actually not sure if it had very faint tactile feedback or none at all. I suppose the fact that you could choose vibe feedback was an indicator it was in fact a touch keypad.

Either way, I didn't like it. Thankfully the Fin has a much better keypad.
