There is NO WAY the V8 is going to be $500 with a 2 year contract 🙄 It's a regular phone. No one is going to pay hundreds more for a clamshell phone then they are a smartphone or a PDA. No way this thing is going to be priced with the iPhone. You have no proof of any of this, and I'd be willing to bet dollars to donuts you are wrong.

I have the pricing for the Motorola RAZR2 V9 for AT&T wireless. It says "Coming August" and prices are as follows,
2 year service agreement- $299.99
1 year service agreement- 399.99
no contract- $449.99

If you get a MediaNet plan, you get a $20 Instant rebate;

so it would be 279.99, 379.99, and 429.99.

Since the V9 is a more sophisticated phone than the V8, I would imagine T-Mobile's prices to be a little lower, since the V9 is a 3G phone.

I would expect you can get a V8 for 249.99 with 2 yr service agreement at T-Mobile probably in August as well.

You have it backwards. The V8 is actually the more sophisticated phone. The V9 uses the same old Synergy interface that was used...

Uh correction the only difference between V8 & V9 is v9 has 3g & microsd that supports up to 2gb. While the V8 has built in memory up to 2gb & no 3g. The only other difference is the OS. All hardware is identical. This excludes the v9m (cdma). They are not more advanced. Not to mention the lack of 3g areas in the US. The OS is what will set them apart. So the V9 will not blow away the V8.

YOU are the one who is WRONG. This IS a smartphone, able to multitask and run advanced applications.
Problem is the software is so new and used on very few phones that a lot of native applications have yet to be written for it.

The OS is very different from Synergy and fully customizable.

I suggest you correct your mistakes. I have the V...

Sorry for the double post. I just couldn't stop laughing at this. So since you own a V8, you're an expert? Does that make everyone that owns a car a car expert? If you own a Civic, does that means you can diagnose and fix anything wrong with the Civic? You should be an expert by your logic 🙄

If you knew what you were talking about, you'd know the V8 wasn't a smartphone 🤣
