So when is the V9 or the motorizr Z8 going to hit the US? 😎

No i know for a fact that the verizon version will NOT be linux!! The verizon version is the V9M.

But im hoping there will be a Firmware hack.

Verizon will have a new version FLash UI for the V9m. Different from the other verizon phones Flash UI.

it can't be that much different though, right? isn't verizon trying to keep there UI common between all of their phones.

even if it is new, it will still suck in comparison to the new motorola ui, and i'm sure verizon will go ahead and disable all your bluetooth profiles and file management capabilities.

Wow i just found out that verizon is not even using the 500mhz processor...there using a 225mhz wow that stinks!!

Im stickin with my lg vx8300 for a long time.

Thanks for confirming what I said in my original post. 😉 The v8 is the GSM variant which does indeed run Linux.

The HSDPA and CDMA versions do not.

Funny because i never said the verizon v9m will ave Linux this is what I said....

Also the CDMA (Sprint/Verizon/Alltel) versions get slower processor, less screen colors and older version of bluetooth.

Um this will be carried by cingular and tmobile. not by verizon. As far as i know it will be cingular and tmobile

there are 3 versions of the phone....v9, v9m, v8
