V8, V9, and crippled, sucky V9m Specs

A lot of people are still confused on the specs of each RAZR2. Just so everyone can get their facts straight, here is a link to the RAZR2 flash website. In the lower right-hand corner, there is a SPECS link. If you click on it, you'll find out that Verizon blows, as the specs for the V9m are mediocre at best compared to the V8 and V9.

WOW..........

What an eye opener! Thanks VERY much for the info/link.

I have been with Verizon for the last 3 years. I am currently NOT on a plan, just month to month simply because of this type of info.

I am also currently looking to replace my awesome(hacked) E815. Poor thing is wearing out ☹️

Not sure if this is the phone for me but it certainly does open ones eyes to just how bad Verizon cripples the phones they sell.

BTW..Verizon's UI does suck bad!!!!! Lenny

While it is fun to blame Verizon for everything (most of it deserved), I don't think the lesser hardware for the v9m can be blamed on them. Motorla makes cdma phones for Verizon, Sprint and Alltel. I doubt they will have a cheap one for Verizon and a better one for the others. Motorola makes the hardware and should be blamed.

I worked for Sprint years ago, and I asked one of the old techs I used to work with about the specs. He "speculates" that the processor speed may be lower on the V9M only because it is sufficient on that model since it doesnt need to support the heavy P to P video processing power, and in part to help with battery life since the phone is also 3G. Time will tell (until you get each different model in your hands), but he suspects the UI will be as smooth and comparable on each phone (based on each carrier's UI), regardless of the processor inside. I can't imagine Sprint will release a phone like this with the same lag that the old RAZR has... Here's hoping!?!?!
