Samsung Blast SGH-T729

This is my third Samsung slider. I just got it today and getting use to the Qwerty keyboard is just odd. I'm a super fast texter on a regular 9 pad but now I'm turtle slow. Anyway. . . I use to be able to hit the "1" button a couple of times and get a : ) and it would change to ; ) or : * or ☹️ and I can not find a feature on this phone that will give me a quick smiley! Anybody have any tips?!
