No thank you Samsung. And I am a huge supporter of Samsung phones 😛

This is in no way related to or even close to the Chocolate. Anyone that should confuse this should have their eyes checked. The Blast will bring high speed messageing and email to the customers that normally would not buy a device with those features like the Wing or BlackBerry. Even though it features a memory card slot and a music player this is a messageing product and not a music product like the Chocolate.

At your beckoning I decided to get my eyes checked and to take it a step further I decided I'd go and check out the phone, get a hands on feel for it.

I stand corrected "alaheebs". . .this phone is no where even close to being a "flagship" phone like the chocolate. It is just another weakly designed slider that feels "vulnerable" and weak when held and slid from the open to close position. I am a huge fan of sliders and an even larger fan of Samsungs. However, Samsung's latest "basement bargain" just doesn't cut it, but thats just one man's opinion.

is anybody realizing that the chocolate is not a good phone? the reason i mention this is because its not a good phone. i wouldnt want flagship in the same sentence of that phone if i were verizon or LG. also, id rather have the blast all day, even though its not the best either.

lg phones consitently rate poorly on real world user surveys only reason they seem to stay in buisness is to put as many toys as possible on their phones ... back to the blast it has a amazingly quich interface to the user email i hooked it up with a yahoo an aol and a gmail response time from send to recieved was a few seconds at most like the t719 before it it still wont pull down most attachments but as you only need a messaging plan 9.99 for unlimited for my faves customers it is a liveable issue could this be the start of erosion for the sidekick ????

Hahahahahaha...
the SK will die one day, and it will have NOTHING to do with any of the above.

just wait for the new SideKick, see how well it sells, then tell me how "dead" it is...

ill be honest, the blast doesnt have the finish or feel of a great phone, but features and functionality are good if not great for the price. THE CHOCOLATE IS GARBAGE. i hate verizon and their user interface with all their phones. i have to say that of all the "trademark" phones from all carriers, the chocolate is HANDS DOWN THE WORST. 1 = sidekick, 2 = iphone (im not a big fan), 3 = chocolate.... sprint doesnt count to me 😁

I think my support for the Chocolate is being misinterpreted. I don't think it's a "great" phone. I simply mentioned it as a flagship phone. I'm sure this debate will continue for a little while. I personally hate how Verizon continues to cripple their phones, but thats just one mans opinion. cheers.

I came out with the same opinion when the story broke and got the same reactions, for some reason no one is allowed to compare phones here, it's not legal. Blast=cheap.

I can't wait to see what you all say then.

With features like 2.2" QVGA, 2MP cam, touch capacitive buttons, mirrored silver finish and 10mm slim design, you're going to look incredibly stupid still hailing any LG Chocolate as the slider benchmark (which is incredibly wishful thinking in the first place).
