Anybody know if it is Symbian(UIQ) ??
Isn't the Symbian OS usually reserved for the P series Sony Ericssons (not including Nokias of course)?

First, (and this is mostly just a pet peeve of mine,) just calling it Symbian is misleading. It does technically contain Symbian software, but the UI and software platform (what most people would identify as the OS) is UIQ. UIQ is quite different from S60, for example, even though that also uses Symbian.
To answer your question: That used to be the case, but recently Sony Ericsson has been using UIQ for more phones, including the M600, W950, and W960.
