just drop a line to ABLINDKID, he'll explain the rest for you 🙂

Or, if you're bored, you can search through these forums for what he's said (aka putting a cingular phone on the verizon network)

IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! Cingular uses a GSM network, and Verizon uses CDMA. Two completely different technologies! Why else would you think the FCC didn't make it law that CDMA carries had to make their phones interchangeable on other networks, like GSM carriers do?!?!?!??!?!

No way, flashing it? do you have any idea that gsm and cdma are not interchangable? whoever is claiming to be able to do this either miraculously has rebuilt the insides of the phone to carry a cdma signal, and then gotten it to fit into the 8300's housing. i highly doubt, no i'm 100% sure he can't do it. he could load the software all he wants, bottom line is it won't get a signal. be real here. i know the User Agreement says to be nice, but whoever makes this claim has to be slapped upside the head!
