Please post if you've had these problems with your Curve as well! First of all, other than these minor glitches, this phone is the closest to perfect that AT&T has come out with yet! Here's the problem(s)....

First of all, my first Curve had a VERY stiff keyboard and would turn itself off every once in a while...so I got a different one. Not a problem with the second one. HOWEVER, on BOTH devices, the calendar reminders DO NOT WORK. This is a big deal for me as I use them quite frequently on my Pearl and 8700 to remind me of appointments/meetings. Also, if you set the backlight to last anything longer than 30 seconds, it won't work. It will turn itself off (the backlight that is) after 30 seconds no matter what. Is anyone else hav...

I had all of the same issues you have spoken about. RIM needs to put out a patch fast. After you exchanged your phone have you had any more loss of power issues?

Well, not all of them. This keyboard is much easier to type on. The previous one worked just fine, but I had to push the buttons so firmly for them to go. As for the shutting on and off again (even during a call on the first one), I haven't had that problem with this one...yet. I still have the calendar problem as well as the backlight problem. It's quite frustrating actually! The first one was made VERY well as far as build, it was very tight, no creaks whatsoever, and no way of dust getting behind screen. The new one, however, is a bit looser and there is two small white specks under the screen (right out of the box!) that I can't seem to get rid of...I'm going to try a third one and see what happens! How can we go about getting RI...

I just got my phone yesterday. I am receiving calendar reminders as I have them set, the snooze worked as well. This is my first BB & I didn't know I needed to go and set my profile (all tones were set to OFF), but once I did that everything is working (receiving a tone and a notice on my screen). I changed my backlight time to 1 minute and timed it and it shut off after exactly 1 minute. I haven't lost power at all. I did have a call drop twice last night, not sure if it was my phone or my mom's lg?

Go to Profiles>advanced>new. select the task/calendar/or whatever and set the alarms and stuff there. Save the new profile with a name & it will appear on the profiles icon on your home screen.

Doesn't work for me. I can create a new profile just fine, but even with that, the calendar reminders/alarms do not work. They work just fine on the tasks and such, but the alarms on the calendar do not work. This has happened on two Curves now. Also, when I try to set the backlight timer to stay on for 1 minute, it times out at 30 seconds regardless every time.
