Here is the scoop on SD cards. Standard microSD cards were only formatted to be able to store 2gigs of information. Thanks to new technology, the newer technology now allows the cards to store 4;8;16;32; even 64gb of data. The difference is the newer cards are formatted differently and are designated sd hc (high capacity). If your phone is older than two years, there's a good chance that it only supports sd cards. The newer phones will usually handle the sd hc cards. Just look for the hc designation on the card. I'm pleased to know that the Sprint 8830 supports the sdhc format. Now I'll have to get a new card.
