i have had my phone for about 7 hours now. and while i have been trying to play and navigate and such on the internet, my evdo signal plummets and then my phone informs me of no internet coverage and i then have to wait 3-5 min for my signal to plummet to nothing once again and the jump start back to normal where i then can continue to do what i was doing online for another 5 to 10 min until the same thing happens. i already ordered a replacement, just wanted to see if anyone else had this experience

the problem ended up not being a sprint problem, nor a handset issue. it was a problem with the e-mail. it was conflicting with my internet service. was very akward and unique situation. all i ended up having to do was sign into my bb account, delete my set up email accounts, log out and the re-create a whole new bb account. and it solved that problem.

and i still stick by what i said in my review. despite the initial issue, its the greatest phone i have ever owned. in addition to my review, battery life has proved to be nothing short of amazing. it lasts FOREVER compared to other phones. im a wicked user and have no problem getting through the day using everything on the phone with a nightly charge. and the phone does support a2dp and i...

The battery life on this phone sucks. Maybe it's just me but I am very hard user. I have the 4000 minute plan and I also tether the phone. I watch the battery life dwindle down much like the gas gage in my F-150. I would be afraid not to charge my phone @ night in fear of my battery dying in the morning. People from AT&T might be getting good life I can't say but this phone needs to charge itself every time you sync it to your desktop or laptop b/c if you didn't it would probably die after 7pm. If you are the phone often you definitely need an extra battery.

I found my battery life to be stellar. and this is a used phone used battery.

Now my STELLAR rating comes from comparison to other PDA data active phones. this thing makes palm and winmo battery lifes seem downright paultry in comparison.

Off course no regular pda phone can touch a NORMAL phone's battery life.

but with moderate usage I have no doubt I could make 2 days on my 8830 and with a nightly charge usage is nearly unlimited. I mean I beat the hell out of it checking data stuff all the time background data processes hours of slacker etc..
