I just arrived in Grand Cayman with my brand new Blackberry 8830 "WORLD EDITION" and does my phone work? No! I'm getting an irritating "Device Error: 348". Wow, so glad I got the fancy World Edition phone from Verizon! Pathetic!

from Verizon, the phone does not come set up for out of the country use, you need to call and inform them of your intentions so they can properly set up your account and get you a sim

Your a BIG BABY . Maybe you should of done some research before you went to the Cayman Islands. The phone takes the global pack which includes the sim card and world wide customer service and of course you made sure you had the international $64.99 on your plan which should say that on your contract and of course you know how to use a phone when dialing internationally to right .

How does any of this matter when my phone will not even turn on and only has a screen with:

Device Error 348
Reset

The phone will not even TURN ON.

A BIG Baby? Maybe you should do YOUR homework. WITH the SIM inserted correctly, the Global Pack activated, and everything else set up correctly, my phone, as mentioned in another post, also does not work in carribean. According to Verizon, who would have told YOU this is you did your homework, there is a software problem with the phone.

Get a clue. 👿
