US Cellular Rokr Z6M & Ringtones Question..

Venussss

Ok, just got the Rokr Z6M from US Cellular and I love it. I saw the post below and no, I have no texting problems, woohoo!

My question is, has anyone figured out how to create ringtones for this phone yet?
I have tried numerous ways and none work yet and I'd really like to create my own.

Any help or info would be great!
Christie!

This may or may not help you. I purchased the RAZR2 V9M from USC last month and like you, I was interested in creating my own ringtones. After talking to tech support from USC, they assured me that USC doesn't disable the multimedia features found on Motorola Phone Tools software (unlike Verizon). I purchased the software directly from Motorola which included a micro USB cable (I think the ROKR uses a mini USB cable which Motorola also has). After updating the software after installing it (live update), my phone was recognized and I was able to create all the ringtones I desired free of charge. The software (with the USB cable) cost me $40. It is easier to create your ringtones if you already have the songs you want to use in MP3 forma...

A great program for making ringtones is Wavpad. I'm pretty sure it's free. It lets you modify the music file and save it as an mp3 even if that's not what it was to begin with.

I was just wondering, are you able to make songs in your Media Player ringtones? I've transfered songs to my memory chip, and their automatically sent to my Media Player. And I cant figure out a way to set them as my ringtone. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

open up that particular song you want as ringtone in the audio icon (from multimedia icon), highlight that song and press option, you should see sub menu say apply as ringtone in it. You don't run through music player, but go to the audio icon. hope this help. You can set any song to be your ringtone, inbox, voicemail tone, the phone is awesome and easy to use.
