Re: Transfer Files from PC to Phone via bluetooth???
"...stayed up very late last night making a lot of cool ringtones - editing wavs of my favorite tunes to around 30 second chunks of audio and then exporting them as 56 kbps (24000 hz) mp3s.
Once I finished I stuck all the tones I made in a new folder called "My Motorola Z6TV Ringtones" (this will reside permanently on my computer). Then I made a copy of that folder called "Copy of Z6TV Rintones". Genius, eh?
Inside that copy folder I changed/renamed the file extensions of all my ringtones from .mp3 to .qcp.
Then I used the Bluetooth ODEX file transfer app on my laptop and connected to my phone. I found the "my_ringtones" folder on my phone (via my laptop) and simply right-clicked on my ringtones (in the copy folder) and dragged them into the folder of my_ringtones and choose "copy here". Over 75 ringtones totaling 14.8 mb were transfered in less than six minutes!
Then I went into my phone, selected menu, then settings & tools, then sound settings, then call sounds, then call ringtone, and finally to My Ringtones! There were all my new ringtones. They all played fine and sounded fantastic!
Assigning the tones to specific people in your address book is easy. Scroll to anyone one in your list, press the "edit" button (top left), then scroll down to Ringtone and press "Set" (top left again). This will bring you to your My Ringtones folder. Select a ringtone and press "OK" (center button) and then "SAVE" (center button). That's it!
Sorry for the obvious nature of my descriptions for those of you who experts. I just wanted to be thorough. Thanks to RyZR for the initial tip!
Now I just have to locate the wallpaper and pics folder so I can upload those as well.
