na actually i think it looks better than the E65. I wonder if it will have 3g for the USA. I doubt it, but if it does i might get it. if not ill stick with my E50 in metal black which i think is simply the best phone available right now.

I doubt it'll have 3G for the US, unless AT&T and Nokia are in talks to release it. Which I guess isn't out of the question.

What I think is interesting is that, unsubsidized, the phone will still most likely run almost $600. If you're going to spend that much money, why NOT just go up to the N95? You'll get back wi-fi, a better camera and dedicated music controls. I just can't figure out who the target audience for the 6110 is.

technically only 10% of cingy's network is on the 1900 band, most is 850. Probably in major cities you would be fine, but thats about it.

Not even. I live in NYC and I've used many European phones that only have the 1900 band and the reception was horrible....but because the phones were so hot I continued to use it a while longer: a cell phone lover's plight. LOL

whats the point, the 6110 is a quad band phone, it will work just fine on either cingy's or tm's network.

If you're talking strictly Cingular, I'm sorry, but I can't help you.

I can tell you, however, that T-Mobile is strictly 1900 mhz. Now, it does have roaming agreements with some companies to use the 850 mhz frequency in some areas, but anytime you are using T-Mobile's actual towers, you are utitilizing 1900 mhz. The closest portrayal of a 1900 mhz coverage map would be T-Mobile's prepaid coverage map, although that does include SOME 850 mhz.

I've often wondered myself how much Cingular relies on 850 mhz. I have an unlocked Nokia 6230i (the best phone ever! 😉 ), which only has European triband frequences, i.e., no 850 mhz, and I've thought about getting a Cingular prepaid SIM card just to see what kind of coverage I'd get. I've ...
