Send text to address book
I've never been able to figure this out...if it's even possible. How can I send a text to every mobile number in my address book?

On any phone with at&t you can only send a text to a maximum of 10 recipients per message.
If you have more than 10 contacts in your address books you would have to send multiple messages.
When you're on the NEW MESSAGE screen, hit the menu soft key and add recipients. Keep doing that until you get 10 per message.
