Unfortunately my upgrade isn't up yet so I'm still stuck here with a Q, but so far from everything I've checked out, the XV6800 is definitely the way to go.
Anyway

Has anyone tried out WMWifiRouter?
I use PDAnet right now and it's supposedly very similar in the idea of tethering, except instead of using cable/bluetooth to tether, it uses the phone's own wifi transmitter to create a mini-hotspot. I was wondering if anybody's tried this out yet, and whether there were any issues in using it.

Here's a link to the last free version before they started charging to buy it.

I have an XV6800 and unless they update the firmware soon, I recommend staying away from it. EVERYONE I know who has this phone has to reset it at least once a day. Yes, I know how to close running programs!

It also has some known Bluetooth issues that prevent properly using a BT headset or car kit.

The ability to get one's email-contacts-notes-calendar in Outlook (mine pushes from my Exchange server) is AWESOME. I used to take my laptop on vacation, but not any more. I flip on the WiFi if I am out of the USA and use WiFi to get my email. No more lugging that laptop around on a cruise!

Thanks for the review. Unfortunately, unless the Treo 800w comes out for Verizon, the XV6800 still seems to be the best option. I currently use a first generation Q, so I know how annoying it can be, but unless Verizon gets another phone with so many features, this is still my best bet for my next phone.

Regarding the BT issues, do you know what kind of headset/car kit you are using? It's come to my attention that there are at least 2 different kinds of bluetooth profiles that headsets/car kits use. One would be the HFP and the other would be the HSP profile. I've noticed that some headsets like the Moto H700 use the HSP profile while others like the Jawbone use the HFP profile, and I have noticed different results from both models(the o...

I use a Plantronics Voyager 510 and tried others. It is a well-known issue that apparently affects all BT headsets or car kits when used with this phone and having MS Voice Command added. Perhaps even with the built-in voice tags.

My only interest was in warning you about the phone, so, no, I did not try the router software.
