Hello!

I have read a lot of posts about MS Voice Command not working properly with the 6800 and BT headsets. Does anyone know if the problem (confirmations not working) is being addressed?

It's my understanding that there will be a phone update in April that will address this issue alone with others. We just have to wait and see.

Would that be for the vzw XV6800, the Mogul, or all HTC 6800 models?

Here is a copy of the email I received from UTStarcom, the parents of vx6800.

Thank you for contacting UTStarcom.

We are aware of the compatibility issue with Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 and there is going to be a maintence release around late April or early May that will fix this issue. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you.

Thank you for contacting UTStarcom Tech Support.

Sweet giggity! It's about time they fixed it. Just in time for the hands-free law here in CA, I hope.

I hope it will work on the VZW XV6800.

There is going to be a MR for the XV6800 Second quarter This update will include:
1) Windows 6.1 (whole new OS)
2) EVDO Rev A support
3) Location Based Services support.
4) Bluetooth functionality

The update should be released Late July or early August but, unfortunately we don't have a projected release date as of yet.

Thank you for contacting UTStarcom Tech Support.

SWEET!!!

I just got off the phone with VZW tech support. He did not have a release date, but he did verify that it is in the works, has GPS improvements, BT improvements, and Rev A. Nothing more specific than that.

It's about time!

Is #3 the thing that will allow Google Maps to use the GPS for location, or is that going to be restricted to VZW services?
