So i've seen a few youtube videos of people making this phone look like an iphone. Does anyone know how to do this and where I can get the software? thanks

I got it here...http://mahmood1.com/iphone.aspx

Looks cool and *almost* works right.

Be aware, it's not easy to install like a regular theme, this consists of several software packages to install each one of which adds a piece to the puzzle until your phone looks like an iPhone.

I say almost works right because for the life of my I have not been able to get the onscreen iphone soft buttons to actually work.

If you or anyone else gets those working I'd love to know how!

yes, just go to remove programs and remove everything you installed to do it (there are like 10 programs involved that have to be installed for the one I tried that I mentioned).

Thing is and SERIOUSLY I DO NOT MEAN TO BE RUDE, but if you're asking that question you may want to pass. I come from a heavy information technology background, I'm perfectly at home tinkering with production mail, web, domain etc servers and I could not for the life of me get this "theme" to work right. Best I could do was get the buttons working by moving the directional buttons to the icons and then hitting the select button...Touch screen worked fine for standard menu's etc but for the "iPhone like" buttons on the screen they never worked as a touch screen bu...

I didn't see that it even remotely "works" like an iPhone at all, nor did I see a significant decrease in speed. It did however LOOK like the iPhone OS.

I installed it and had to keep uninstalling so i would have enough memory in phone to continue, how ever i did get at least half of the icons to work on the touch screen. It definitely had the iphone look, but after a few days i did a HARD reboot and uninstalled every thing. Now I'm back to the original screen. Don't know if i'll reinstall or not. I purchased a CD from e-bay with all the download info and with step by step install and photos for the complete theme, it made a difficult install much easier.

I got a one-piece program that has the iPhone program, easy install and works great. And with my slide2unlock, just makes my phone that much better(:

Nick,
Where can this program be found? Also do you know of anyway to LOCK the volume so when putting 8600 in and out of pocket it stops the wheel from changing the volume?I have this problem and never hear the phone ring?

Thanks,
Dan

that volume thing is odd, ive never heard about that. but regardless, i suggest going to freewarepocketpc.net, the program i have is called iFonz. **It is a PROGRAM, not a theme**
(and ive downloaded around 30 programs from this site and have no problems with viruses, if you were anxious.)

I configured iFonz to start on startup and all that, and you can stop it and go to the Today screen whenever you like.

And the slide to unlock program does just that, exactly like the iPhones slide to unlock.
the program. search "s2u2" and look for v 1.00 (the latest).

hope this helps dan!
