Pretty much except it has Window Mobile 6 instead of 5 like the Hermes and uses 1xEV-DO Rev 0 instead of HSDPA for data access.

This is nothing like the 8525. It has more memory, and has an upgarded CPU. The Cpu in this thing is a dual core one vs the single core in the 8525. Dis-information is worse then no info at all my friends.

How do i know? Spec sheets for this phone have been out for awhile now. If you look up the model number for the qualcom cpu thats in there you'll see it's a dual core cpu. 1 core at 400mhz and the other one at 215mhz or so. That 2nd one is dedicated for all actuall phone functions. The 400mhz core is for all the pda functions.

That's not what "dual core" means.

Every phone has a phone radio chip and an applications processor. That's nothing special about this phone.

Wow.... that's quite a chipset! Too bad there is only a 2 megapixel when it can support an 8!

No, not really. It can only support 8MP in a camera. It can't support an 8MP plus a PDA/Phone. It is a multipurpose chip that they use in some high end digital cameras as well.

it has more internal memmory because sprint knows its customers cant afford to have an external memory card right away, or they would have gone to cingular
secondly 8525= 400 MHz Samsung processor
p4000= Intel PXA-263 processor

third 8525= used as a modem for you laptop AND
used as a phone at the same time BOTH using bluetooth

p4000= just data or just voice not at same time

8525= java AND PTT
p4000= choking the chicken

are you saying Sprint customers are too poor to have Cingular?
Or do you mean that they can't afford a memory card because they don't want to mess with some gay little card to transfer files?

😎 what im saying is in order to take full advantage of the phone/pda you'll still need to provide yourself extra storage via a micro sd card

Sprint put out some bad info regarding the Intel processor by mistake. It doesn't have one. It has a Qualcomm MSM7500 chipset, which has an integrated ARM-11 application processor.
