8830 vs. Mogul/8600 - Ringer volume?

Debating between a Blackberry 8830 and the Mogul. I've seen a number of posts about the 8830's ringers being too low/soft. How does the Mogul stack up in comparison? Has anyone compared the two?

Thanks!

*Same as I posted in the 8830 forum

The ringer volume on the Mogul/6800 is MUCH louder. There may be an update from RIM soon to fix this issue; Anyone with more info please correct me. I am an Alltel indirect rep. and currently own the 6800/Mogul, but am very close to purchasing the 8830 as well. Are you a pleasure or a business user? The Mogul can be config'd for full youtube, myspace, and other cool things, but is still designed to function as a wonderful business tool. The 8830 isn't able to save/re-open MS Office files without purchasing 3rd party software ... sucks. I really, really like my phone, but the 8830 is a nice piece, too. If you're a pleasure user, go with the Mogul (HUGE screen, touch-enabled, youtube). Hope it help...

How does the 6800 stack up against the i760? I don't know if I'm enough of a power user to really use the Blackberry (8830 or Pearl), but it's a good choice, I'd agree.

If I stay the WM6 route, the 6800 seems like the better choice - but the i760 is pretty strong.

Remember, the strengths of the 8830 are a fantastic Email, UI, and a VERY stable OS. You WILL have to soft-reset the 6800 from time to time, but that's life with Microsoft.

When compared to the i760:
They both run a 400mhz processor, though the nod goes to the 6800 because its unit is made by Qualcomm (i760 uses a Samsung processor) and they're about the best you can buy.
Talk-time (stat-speaking) goes to the 6800, though they both suck the juice quick because of large screens and aforementioned processors.
The 6800 is able to upgrade to EV-DO Rev. A when it's out and about, the Samsung is not (AFAIK).
Now the two biggies:
The 6800 uses a 2MP camera, and the i760's is only 1MP. I can't stand the design of the i760, as I wasn't as c...

The 6800 has twice the RAM than the i760. That makes it better in my eyes....This coming from a guy that has been planning on getting an i760 for months. I got the 6800 as a warrenty replacement for my 6700.....Boy am I glad about that. Still would love to experiment with the i760 though.

yeah, the RAM is a nice point. 😉 The processor needs this as it's technically dual-core (split phone and app) if I'm not mistaken.
Good point, dude!
