Nokia 6085 / 6086

I just got a 6085 from AT&T, which used to be Cingular. It was free with a 2 year contract. I have always had Nokia phones and I like them, my absolute favorite being the 3120 I had and used hard for 2 years, but the reception started to fail, and both Nokia and Cingular told me I needed a new phone, that it couldn't be fixed.
I have not activated it yet, but as I fool around with the settings, I see that it doesn't have the usual Nokia battery and reception indicators, the nice bars up the right and left side of the phone face, but this little LITTLE tiny thing on the top left of the display. That was one thing I always hated about Motorola phones was that too-small reception and battery display, and now I'm stuck with it too. I have good eyes and I can hardly see it.
I'm also not happy that the inbox and outbox for text messages are no longer separate, and when you open an email (MMS) it doesn't show you who sent it! You have to go to message details or edit to see who it's from. This really makes me think that the people who design these phones never actually use them. I live in an iffy reception area, so it's important that I check to see if I have enough reception before I answer or make a call.
I am still rather crabby about my 3120 crapping out on me after only 2 years, but I will give this 6085 a chance.
