OzzieDog

Is it possible to upgrade the BlackBerry 8800 to 3G? Would this be Software/Firmware, Hardware? or both?
Would it have to be a different unit?
Can anyone help with this?

From what I have read RIM is going to release the 8900 which will be 3g. I suppose Cingular will carry it. I also here it will be out sometime around fall.

Good thing is RIM is pretty decent about releasing stuff when they say, and while Cingular has been known to drag it's heels on new models (nokia especially) they are usually good with Blackberry releases. Probably do to the profit on their Blackberry releases as well as sales to the business sector.
