I just don't understand why Samsung and SE are doing this to their US market.... it makes no sense when the largest carrier in the US (Cingular) has started their 3G service... why wouldn't manufacturers want to make more sales in the US by adding 3G...

I'm happy with my Nokia 6282... 🙂

um first of all WHAT GOOD DOES IT DO US to have a frequency of 3g THAT WE CAN'T USE. this is a stupid move on the part of samsung, not to mention the not having a voice dial. c'mon samsung, get with it, this phone is one GIANT step away from being any good!

Naturally, there is a 3G version of this phone. The Ultra 12.1 / U700 is similar, but with 3G. It's near the bottom of this page:

It's not for US 3G networks, though.

The 10.9 / U600 is about as high-end as it gets without 3G, at least for anything remotely this thin.
