I'm in the same situation you're in. I have the 6230 and started using my old PDA again to help me decide if I want a PDA phone. I bought a Nokia N80 with the plan for it to be a temporary phone. Unfortunately, no phone out there REALLY satisfies my wants and the N80 is turning into a more permanant arrangement. 
The only things I have against the e61i, which runs the same OS as my N80, is that you can't set categories for your tasks and each task (or "to do" item) must be tied to a calendar date. If it weren't for that (and the price), I'd have an e61i by now. But I must admit that the new Nokia screens are beautiful and crisp so that even on the N80, I can easily read all the small type.
