Those measurements are incorrect. I don't know what they are exactly but I've had a chance to see the the E61 and the E61i side by side. It's quite smaller.

The E61i feels much thinner due to the rounded back, and is - in practice - much more pocket-able.
If you measure the just the three dimensions, it is technically about the same, but the total volume is significantly less, thanks to the more beveled back.
