Why?

OK, question. Why is it that Apple only let they're stores and corporate stores release this phone? Like us the authorized retailers. We are not aloud to pretty much touch this phone. We barely know anything about it cause they kept it away from us. It sucks, like they are starting to single the authorized retailers out now. I mean all we sell is At&t service, alot of people confuse us with a actual corporate store. Has anyone seen the shirts for us? Big letters saying authorized retailer on the shirt. I dont know i think its kinda b/s.

Apple doesn't owe anything to anyone. They want the iphone to be sold by the best of the best and to be honest authorized dealers are a half-assed attempt at a store most of the time. The can do about half of the things a corporate can. If I was in charge of decision making for Apple I'd do the same thing.

absolutely. 3rd party dealers give the rest of us an awful name. I'm sick and tired of ticked off customers coming into the store with complaints about visits to 3rd party dealers, being lied to, being tricked into adding lines, features, etc. Apple made a very smart decision to let only the elite of it's sales core distribute the device. Our sales have been WONDERFUL! One dealer went so far as to tell a customer that they don't carry the iphone because "they're just too much of a problem and they don't work well" Laughable. If i could, i'd press a button and have all the authorized idiots squashed and sifting for jobs at Best Buy.

Amen.

PS as a sidenote, I actually started out as a quasi manager of a 3rd party dealer store then soon realized it was horrible. Soon after I proved myself I went to a corporate store.

Well actually it all depends. We have all the rights to Corporate except warranty exchanges and overiding the upgrades. Thats about it. But whatever - ya'll are a waste to try and explain anything too.

No offense man but I wouldn't even want you selling my product, your grammar and spelling aren't good. So, how could I expect you to persuade a customer into buying? Good luck Ch

Wow that's pretty cute all you corporate people want to bash on an authorized agent, bet you feel pretty good about yourselves. So you get to sale an i phone we're so happy for you, and don't get started talking about doing a half ass job, I cant tell you how many times I've had to fix idiotic screw ups by you corporate people. While you people keep preaching the i phone I'll keep telling people what a rip off it is and just sell them a TILT.
Thanks and happy selling!

Wow, your last message didn't make any sense either. You're implying that the i phone is better than the TILT so I think that makes you the idiot so I guess my answer is no, I cant make that out.

HTC = software nightmare, Windows mobile OS is garbage, slow, terrible, ask ANYONE in the real world. Who cares if it can do more at a much slower pace with much more issues? I hard reset the 8525 3 times in one month when I had it. As far as I'm concerned that is not worth my time.

Wait! You already did, you used a bow for an analogy. Sorry.

Hell, I work for customer care, and in my opinion, you all are horrible! I have so many people call me PISSED about both direct stores and third party retailers. Horrible.

Do you know how many accounts I have to fix from stores messing up? Rediculous!

imsosick1216, Im in the same boat as you, Im a manager of an authorized dealer and we cant carry the iPhone. Now that doesn't mean they leave with no service. 😈 I simply set up the account. Get them a free phone and tell them all they have to do is buy the iPhone take it home. Once they're in iTunes they can use the existing customer portion and Viola! They have an iPhone and I have a sale. And for all you corp. guys out there all you guys even do is just sell them the phone and let them be on there way. It's not like they leave the store with an activated phone!!! Unlike my customers, and they have a backup phone incase anything happens. But I wont sit here and bash on corp. cause we all work for the same thing and thats AT&T, Phone...
