I need your help! I currently have the Samsung i730 and I've looked at the i760 and the iPhone and I really don't know which to choose. I am a pastor and I use the i730 for calendar, text messaging, and e-mail. My secretary can input appt.'s in Wireless Sync and they download to my phone. I understand that this is also possible with iPhone. Please help me decide. 😕

I know that the i760 can and will do everything that you mentioned. I am not sure about the Iphone. If it does have everything that you need, I would go with it over the 760. If I wasn't locked into verizon i would have one myself. It has a much better user interface, and from what I have seen the OS runs smoother. The only thing that would bug me is the use of the on-screen keyboard, it will take some getting used to. As far as my 760, I love it, it's a great phone and PDA, some minor problems here and there, but you will have them with any phone you use. Hope that helps.

Thanks Wildcat71! The only downside to the iPhone is that you cannot get insurance when you buy the phone; like you can withe i760. For me, if I am going to pay that much for a phone; I need more than a 1-year warranty from Apple. I think I'm going to go with the i760; unless this changes. What would you say you like least about the i760?

I am a big text messager, what I liked about my Treo 650 was that it had a chat log, and getting to my text messages was one move away. With my 760 it takes a little longer. Also, sometimes the programs are not as "snappy" as I would like, which makes it frustrating when I am in a hurry to put information in. Those are MY two biggest gripes.

Also the battery on
the I phone is part of the phone. One mailfunction w/the Battery you have to send the WHOLE phone in. You get a refurbished (used) phone as a temp. replacement. A person I know paid $25 fee, added on to his phone bill. Your in real trouble if your replacement iphone won't accept your sims card. My samsung came w/2 batterys. Extended & standard. By God I need both! This phone eats batterys like I eat after coming off a diet. LOL Jo

i would say to go with the i760. i just got mine about a week ago and my best friend got the iphone, so i've had a chance to play around with both. so far, i don't have any complaints with my i760...i keep finding new things to tweak and play with. the only possible thing is sometimes, it does get bogged down a little, but you can just do a simple restart and should fix the problem. as far as the iphone...the only advantage it has is that it integrates an ipod into the phone, which is neat. other than that, you can do way more with the i760 (including downloading programs that give it iphone functionality) cons of the iphone i've heard of....there's no gps at all (which they kind of imply in the commercials...but its not there), the in...
