Hey ... just curious if anyone has compared this fone to the xv 6800 (i posted a similiar message on their forum, just looking for varied opinions). How is it in the way of internet speed, freezing, battery life, and other such things? Anyone have huge pro's or cons for either fone?

thanks a lot i appreciate the help

He's not asking you to compare to the Voyager!

They are both great phones. I like the Samsung i760 because it has physical numbers on the outsied. Haven't use the 6800, but it seems nice. From what I've read, they are both very similar. I've had the i760 for about a month and a half and LOVE it. It's not perfect, but for business and entertainment, it's great. The Voyager is a nice phone, but not nearly business friendly as Windows OS PDAs. Good luck to you.

for just email, get the blackberry.
if you need microsoft applications for work, this 760 is a good phone. you can't dial the 6800 when driving. the keyboards are substantially different. i like the positive touch displacement on the 760, however i really don't like the position of the send button which i hit all the time when texting.

Sunnythetank,

Perhaps you should know what the question is, really think about it for a split second at least before attempting to answer it.

The i760 and xv6800 are EXTREMELY similar phones where as NEITHER are even remotely similar to the voyager or the BB's.

Completely different uses, programs, software, OS's, designs, architecture etc - they aren't even in the same class of phones.

I've played with the i760 and currently have the xv6800...I'd say it's entirely down to preference but be aware as far as I can tell the i760 does not have an iR port.

Both are slow to respond to using the keyboard, it takes a few seconds after the phones automatically switch to landscape mode to respond to input.

For me, I would have preferred the i760 to the xv6800 for the simple reason of the dialpad available without sliding it or using the soft dial pad, as well as the directional and select keys being on the right side when slid out but I also absolutely require iR and the i760 does not have an iR port, hence why I have the xv6800.

get them both in your hands for a few minutes and just go with which ever feels right.
