Was the online discount a glitch?

Yesterday morning while I was at work the phone would have cost me $99. Today it cost me $199. There was a $100 online disc, my NE2 disc and Device disc of $100. Now the online disc is gone. I spoke w/ cst ser and they keep telling me there was not a $100 online disc and that the advance device credit was the online disc? Am I missing something?? Any advice? The phone will eventually cost me $150 w/ mail in rebate, which is not bad at all. But if I can get the phone cheaper I want too.

I had the same problem but my 2 yr discount will not be up until March. When originally trying to get the phone it was $400 with the $100 online discount plus the $50 rebate. I didn't get the opportunity to complete the transaction and when I did this morning the price also changed...Back to $400 without the online discount. I called Verizon CS and was told I logged in the first time incorrectly.

Once you log in go to Upgrade Your Phone.
After clicking on Show Upgrade Discounts, scroll down to your phone and you'll see the actual price.

If you click on Phones and Accessories instead of scrolling to your phone you'll see the online discount again.

I wonder if you can go either way to get your phone...If not I may as well just go ...

If you buy it online you can still get the $100 online discount. If you log into your account and try to buy it, you have to get a few pages deep into the process, then you will see the Advanded Device Discount of $100, which basically replaces the online discount. Then subtract the rebate.

The Advanced Device Discount states it does not combine with any other discounts except for the NE2.

I noticed this as well. I think the Advanced Device credit IS the online discount, because when you order it normally, you HAVE to buy a plan with it that includes data (at least on the website.)

I believe you are correct. It just does not specify what the online discount is until you log into your account.

I was able to get it last night over the phone. I will end up paying $150 after the rebate.
