Wi-Fi
So, the phone has been announced for tomorrow, online. But although it mentions Wi-Fi in the 6800, it doesn't mention that on the i760. I know that the "leaked" phones were said to have had it. Does anyone know if Verizon took that off between the time of "accidently" sending out 40-60 i760's, and the official release? Or should it still have Wi-Fi, in which case, why didn't they say so on their press release?

The rep who called me yesterday told me it has WiFi, but only for data access. No voice over WiFi.

It does have wifi. I was browsing the web with our store demo the other day. Verizon won't advertise it much because they want to sell the data package. Depending on what you're doing with it you may want to stay away from wifi for security issues.

I believe it is actually illegal in the USA to connect to someone else's WiFi without their permission, even if the fool left it open.
That said, it sure would be nice to use while on vacation out of the country...assuming the data traffic is not being sniffed.
