I swear I just saw one. R they released?
I was at a hospital here in SLC and swore an MD had 1. I was trying to ask her if she actually owned this phone, but much to my dismay, she was too busy. Does anyone know if either:
A. The phone is out
B. If the phone isn't out, a possible date
of release?
C. The VZW guy said the palm 700wx has more memory and is a better, faster phone. I don't full heartedly belive him, is it true? 😈 🤨

It's not the memory, speed, etc. I'm interested in. I'm the typical road warrior and hate the current design configuration of the current Treo's, Blackberrys, etc and am looking forward to a dedicated dialing keypad as I usually have to enter ext #'s, access codes, etc. for too many phone calls every day. By building up the data capability's they sacrificed the funcion I use most...make and receive phone calls. Also as a guy in his 40's my hands are large and my eyes now require glasses to read...returning to a dedicated phone keypad is long overdue.....

Actually, it was supposed to be released the first week of October but VZW has just pushed it back again to the first week of November.

This phone was never "supposed" to come out at any time. Verizon has yet to post a release date to their employees or anywhere else for that matter, and until they do, all your "release dates" are just rumor and speculation.

My buddy who works for Verizon just told me this morning (9/30) the i760 will be out by tomorrow (Monday, 10/1), along with couple other PDAs including the UTStarcom xv6800. Also, I don't think anyone will actually know how the i760 will perform compared to the Treo WX until it gets into the consumers hands.
It is very possible the MD actually has one since Verizon accidentally sold 60-80 units one day and quickly pulled it off the market after realizing their mistake.

No way! This phone is not out today, or at least not yet. Like bloodiedwraith says there is no release date on it yet so maybe it will be released to Verizon employees today.

My friend at Verizon told me couple weeks ago the i760 was suppose to be out last week (end of September) but knowing Verizon with all the delays they've had, I wouldn't doubt it if they push this back even more.
I'm expecting a call from my Verizon guy today about the phone, when I get a confirmation and my order placed, I'll post an update here, if others haven't already.

Just got a call from my friend at Verizon. No release in the system, but you can "pre-order" but that doesn't mean there's any stock. He said later this week is a good possibility. Like I said earlier, It's Verizon, it's Delayed.

FYI, for those looking to get this phone go to boy genius review of this phone. he points out the SKU number needed to order by phone through customer service. There were/are a number of people getting this phone. Be aware that ability to get this phone is limited to availability. Best of luck to you. Ciao.
