I just got off the phone w/VZW. It has NOT yet been released, nor do they have a release date as of yet. I was able to find out that it has been approved by FCC and training materials have been made available to the stores and on-line sales people. So....everything they have says it's coming soon, but just how soon that is, is not yet known. They said that it likely isn't going to be in the next week or so, because it's not showing up on their list of soon to be released phones, which if it was set to be released this week, it should be on that list.
Guess we'll have to keep waiting....

Non-existent. There are none currently listed in the warehouse and the SKU comes up with almost no information now; it was a mistake that was done by the telesales people.

so i called vzw on saturday, talked to the first knowledgeable person there, who slipped and after 10 minutes of looking finally found a release date with a ? next to it.... she told me it said '10/5/07?' so as far as i know it should be commin out nov. 5th, and i play to get one nov 5th..... hope this helps

Just so you know.... 10/5 is October 5th, not November. Also there is absolutely NO release date for the phone as of now. People can state all sorts of release dates, but there is none that would be official.

Closest thing I found to an official release date was the fact that on a printed Verizon Wireless rebate form it had both the XV6800 and Samsung I760 and the form was for the sale period ending 10/08/07 so I am going to assume the 10/05/07 date could be correct

That is absolutely true. Release dates can fluctuate in ANY consumer electronics company. After flirting with my local lovely Verizon Wireless lady she called her Samsung rep and he told her that Samsung just shipped a major shipment of the phones to Verizon on Monday the 24th.... This is a good sign as far as shipping goes to the stores. The question is what kind of QC do they have to conduct before releasing the product to the stores? I can't see that they are going to stall on this with the demand so high. I think with all said and done, the October 5th date looks good. Let's cross our fingers though.... 😉
