I would really like to check out this phone, but despite posts stating it's been released, it's not on VZW website or in stores. I've been told by employees that they are not allowed to discuss any phones that are not currently available - including when any new ones might be released.

Anyone know how/where I can find this out?

Also, for those who have somehow managed to get one already, can you advise the price?

How is the voice clarity?

Thanks!!

The voice quality is on par with the env. price was $150. That's with a advance device credit, ne2 discount, and $50 mail-in rebate. I was lucky enough to sneak in a order before they put the kaibash on it. So if you have any questions fire away. 😁

Do you know or have heard when it will actually be released for real?

I was looking at the Pantech flip smartphone, but based on the reviews I've seen and the fact that when I was in a store yesterday, not only is that the ONLY phone on display that they did NOT have a live demo available, they also did not have it in stock. And, as luck would have it, I was told they are doing inventory at the warehouse this weekend, so they couldn't even order it for me. Makes me a little leary of that one.

I was also looking at the new Q9m, but also have not seen great reviews on that, plus I don't think I'd like having something that big and bulky to deal with.

However, when I saw the i760 on this site, I was intrigued by the size and design. ...

I've heard that you shouldn't get a pda/phone if yu're not going to utilize the features. In the long run, you end up spending more money by the kb. I can honestly say you should get this phone when it comes out. I have no release date on it, but from what I hear it's soon. I did end up getting about $250 off the phone. I would recommend the advice credit. $10 bucks is $10 bucks.

I used to have an HP Pocket PC for my pda, plus a cell phone. I decided it was too much to try to carry both all the time, so I first looked into getting a combined pda phone simply for the convenience and less weight, but that was 2-3 years ago. At the time, I wasn't sure I wanted to spend that kind of money (the ones I liked the best were $500+), and the phone reception wasn't as good as they are now.

I ended up getting a Palm Pilot because it was smaller and lighter, but haven't liked it as well as having a Windows pda. It's also harder to synch with Outlook. Doable, but more difficult.

So, now that I'm up for my ne2 again, I'm looking at it again. I don't really need to spend $90+ to save $10 on something I don't really want...

Well, I see what you mean. I 've been using a V/enV for the past 2 years. I had the vcast pack, all the bells and whistles. I end up paying $15 more a month with a data plan. I had the Q9m for about a week. While it was great with reception, I thought the internet was extremely slow(imo). My advice to you is to wait out the i760, you won't be disappointed. 😁
