usb cable problems

i bought a cheap cable off ebay and it says i need a driver (which did not come with)
is there anywhere i can download this or not even use a driver?

I bought a data cable with a CD from ecitywireless for about $10.

I use it to synch my cellphone and my laptop with vista.
