Can't copy files to SD card

Hi. I just bought an LG 8700 and a micro SD card. When I format the card, the folders appear on it, and I can use the phone to save new pictures to it, works fine. After being formatted, it shows the total, used and available memory. When inserted in the pc, the pc can read the folders and the files perfectly. But as soon as I copy even a single jpg to a folder in the card, the phone can no longer read any folders or files on the card, and shows 0 total memory, 0 used, and 0 available for the card. Same thing happens with mp3's. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

If you use bluetooth or have a data cable you can use the program Bitpim to transfer the jpg(s)., its free just google it, As for Mp3s, Windows Media Player 11 has a Sync function that works great for transferring them to your Micro SD card.

It was the phone itself, I exchanged it, works fine. And I've noticed lots of msg boards with people saying that mp3s dont work unless you use WMP to "synch" the files; untrue; all that does is copy them for you, it doesnt do anything special.

I have 313 MP3s stored in my, my_music folder on my micro SD card that I use with my 8700. In fact WMP 11 is the fastest way to put multiple MP3s on your SD card. Open WMP 11 go to Tools, Options, Rip Music you set the type of file to MP3, set where you want the files to go. I have never had a problem transferring MP3s this way, with my VX 8100 or VX 8700 both play MP3s, you just need to go into the menu an enable MP3 under the music setting on your phone.

Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing I am talking about the Sync tab thats next to the URGe tab within WMP 11 not the Sync Music option on the phone itself. And you don't need to enable the MP3 feature on the 8700, MP3s automatically will play if placed in the my_music folder on your card, then you play them by selecting on the phone, Get It Now, Music & Tones, My Music, Songs.
