secret code is ##77647268700send then 000000 for password , this will put you into the programming menu, from there you can tweak some settings, don't screw with to much or something you will not remember how to set back, from in there you can set how it will read the network, thus turning evdo off. For the person who asked what evdo is, it is Verizons broadband Internet on your phone. You must have this service to stream vcast videos and it causes all data features like mobile web run much faster. If you don't use that crap then it is just draining your battery as it pulls that signal so taking it off can save a little battery, especially on a fringe area where you may switch back and forth between 1x and evdo. Turning bluetooth off will also save your battery, you can go to menu, setting, bluetooth, then your left softkey can choose if you want bluetooth on or not, i suggest turning it off when you are not using it to save some battery.

Both evdo and bluetooth give you an icon on the main screen so you will be able to tell when they are on in off relatively easy. peace out
