LG VX-8700
8300 still best LG phone
I have the 8300 and the 8700. The 8300 arguably is the best LG phone. But it's thick, and it's ugly.
The 8700 is just a beautiful phone. It's performance isn't bad, and will probably get even better after some software updates.

8300 is one of the best phones Verizon has ever carried period..easily in the top ten for me. However if you want a slime phone, razr, krazr, razr maxx, 8600,8700, the 8700 is best on market, but all slim phones suffer from sound quality, battery life issues.

I have the vx8300 and the vx8700. the 8300 just feels better in my hand. The only edge the 8700 has in my opinion is that GREAT screen!!! Oh and the cam is great. The Vx8300 had the best one to date till the 8700. I just dont like the looks of the 8700. If it was black metal i would love it.

I have the 8700. I love it. I also had the 8300, and I loved that also. I didn't like the color. I like the style. Speakers on top of phone, it was loud, a good looking phone. I wish it would have come in silver. I love silver phones, very classy looking. Plus I hated the front screen resolution, on the 8300 as compared to the 8100. The front screen on the 8300 was almost blurry. Other than all that, I really did like the phone, but I wanted to try the 8700. I like what I have, but if the 8300 came back in silver, with a better resolution in front, I would probably go back to that! 🙂

I agree that performance wise the VX8300 is a better phone. Better speakers, much better battery life, etc... However the slimness of the 8700 is what sold me. It's really nice to have a phone that you can forget its even in your pocket. With that big antenna the 8300 was always noticeable.
