Verizon Case Disaster

So far the Verizon case is a disaster. I've had to use velcro on the back of the phone to keep it from sliding out of the case each time I open it. It is much more cheaply made than the case for my VX-8000. You can tell corners were cut.

My biggest complaint with it is the case interferes with the camera lens. I'm getting two black stripes on the pictures from the case being so close to the lens on each side. Why they didn't allow for more space around the lens I'll never figure out. Anyway, has anyone else found a fix for the lens problem? I'm about ready to cut the case off around the lens so I can get decent pictures.

What kind of a camera case are you talking about?

Not a camera case. It's the leather case that Verizon sells specifically made for the 8700, with the rectangular window in the front.

Yes the case is a disaster. It slides all over the place and you might also notice it's hard to plug in the charging plug and I believe the case interferes with the microphone. Which also might be causing some Voice Command Problems. I was very happy with my initial introduction the Audiovox CDM-9500 and CDM-9900. I'll keep this phone but I am not thrilled with a lot of these "issues".

Not being a jerk, just curious why anyone would buy this phone, then stick it in a case? This phone is meant to look good and be slim. The case doubles the thickness of the phone and pretty much negates the advantages of the phone. There are other phones that have the same or better features that cost less.

I use a case for the obvious reason to protect the phone, plus I like the belt clip. How do you carry the phone around without a case with a belt clip? Women of course have a purse, but guys?

I finally decided to cut the case around the lens so I could use the camera. I had to cut quite a bit, proving the case was very poorly designed. It came out pretty well, and doesn't look too bad. And now I can take pictures that don't include images of the case on both sides!

How do I carry it? This little baby goes right in your pocket and you don't even notice it.

the case on the 8600,razr,razr maxx, krazr all suck, the problme is the slim design..the indonesian kids in the labor camps have a hard time stitching that small...I suggest a pouch, you shouldn't cover this phone anyway, it is to slick to put a cheap case over it

What I have trended to do is use the leather case for the everyday hard knocks in life. Unfortunately like the occasional drop to concrete. The leather had cushioned many a plastic phone to deter cracking.
I then use the pouch in more formal and social settings, and with Bluetooth you don't have to almost touch the damn thing at all. 🤣
