Actually, I believe the press release said it would be $179.99 after a $50 mail in rebate and the signing of a two year contract. So, I would assume the price would be $229.99 based on this information. I am assuming if you were to order online, you would get the instant $50 discount instead of the MIR. So, all in all, looks to be $179.99. In the retail stores, it looks like you will pay $229.99 out of pocket and then are on your own for the MIR $50.

If you want to go for only a 1 year agreement then it is only $50 more ($279.99-$50 MIR)

Is that right? The release I saw said $179 on a 2yr but made no mention of a $50 MIR so I was hoping it will net out to $129.

Seems expensive when it really isn't that much more then the 8600. (Camera is a bit better). I guess it's new and that's why.

$50 more for a better looking phone (I think), better build quality (metal v. plastic), better camera, expanded phone book, hopefully a better speakerphone and a few other tweaks is fine with me.

So, what is the real shine vs. this model being brought to VZW? Are you referring to the GSM slide model, not currently available in the US?

$229.00 minus $100.00 (upgrade discount) minus $50.00 (online discount) comes to $79.99.

In the mail.
