media files on memory card

i have a friend who has a samsung sync and she just bought my 1g microsd after i bought a 2g microsd from radio shack for about 30 bucks (it was on sale) anyway, she asked me to help her use it, i told her she would first need a usb adapter, but then i realized that there was something about her phone (as well as my m510, for that matter) that i didn't know:

-what folder do music files for the media player (bluetooth) need to be in?

-also, what file format (extension) do they need to be, so that the phone recognizes them?

-while we're on the subject, is it possible to use files on the memory card as ringtones or alarm ringers, and if so, how?
any answers to these questions, regarding either the m510 or SYNC, would be greatly apprec...

-what folder do music files for the media player (bluetooth) need to be in? They can be put in the Media or music folders. If you put them in the media folder they'll play through the media player, music folder will cause them to play from the Sprint music store.

Mp3, or aac.

You can't. You have to upload them through the web and download them to your phone. I think you might be able to with the sync.

so, wait, did you say that i could load my music files to the internet and then download them to the phone to use them as ringtones or alarms? how do i do that?

also, what folders and file formats should i tell my friend to use for her sync?
