media files on memory card

by phonerboi74    Aug 17, 2007, 5:19 PM

i have a friend who has a samsung sync and she just bought my 1g microsd after i bought a 2g microsd from radio shack for about 30 bucks (it was on sale) anyway, she asked me to help her use it, i told her she would first need a usb adapter, but then i realized that there was something about her phone (as well as my m510, for that matter) that i didn't know:

-what folder do music files for the media player (bluetooth) need to be in?

-also, what file format (extension) do they need to be, so that the phone recognizes them?

-while we're on the subject, is it possible to use files on the memory card as ringtones or alarm ringers, and if so, how?
any answers to these questions, regarding either the m510 or SYNC, would be greatly appreciated...
