V3xx and handsfree car system

I currently own a V3, which I use with my hands free car system, and would like to upgrade to the V3xx. While reading the review section I noticed that one individual (BJones14711 - May 9,2007) complained that Motorola had changed the bluetooth signal on the V3xx which made it incompatible with his cars system. Unfortunately he does not accept messages so I am unable to get details.

Have any of you experienced, or heard of others, that have encountered this issue with the V3xx?

Hi,

I too used a V3, with my Parrot CH 3100 carkit. The differences I note now between new and old phones are:

Ӣ The phone itself no longer makes a sound when it rings (while connected to the carkit only) I have to have it set to vibrate and leave it in my pocket so that I know when a call is coming in.

Ӣ The voice recognition system that's built into the carkit is overshadowed by the voice recognition that is built into the phone.

Apart from that, it's OK.

I took a chance and purchased a Platinum V3xx on ebay and it works perfectly with the Mercedes V60 Blue tooth adapter.

I have an '08 Jeep with "U-connect" handsfree unit. It has worked well with my older V3 and other V3xx phones. However, after inserting my current phone into the laundry, I picked up a couple of used V3xx from E-bay. One works ok and the other connects, then disconnects, then connects, and on and on. I've tried doing the boot command, and still no go. I've tried using different "priorities" on the U-connect, still no go--one phone works Ok the other, not so!

Any ideas? Thnx, Jack
