V3xx Opinions?

willtex

Being waiting for the Nokia N75, but now looking at the V3xx. Have been reading the mostly positive reviews on the V3xx review page, except the latest from hotcoco who expresses concern on call quality and dropped calls. Not sure if this is a location/connection concern or Vexx issue??
Any one else experienced the same "terrible call quality" that hotcoco has shared? Additional opinions on the V3xx as other folks are looking at the V3xx since the N75 may be delayed or canceled with ATT/Cingular?!
Thanks!!

That call quality has to be an issue with him/location. 19 glowing reviews, than 1 guy saying it's all crap. Took a test run on one yesterday, may pick it up today. Only reason I'm dragging my feet is because I never thought I'd own a Razr, but there is no other flip on Cingy out there that even comes close, and I've already tried and rejected (for my own use reasons) the Sync and the CU-500.

My thought as well that the amount of positive comments was encouraging for a Razr. I have also tried the CU500, Sync and others. Have been waiting for the N75 and was not interested going to a Moto Razr or any Moto phone, even though my first flip was a Startac that was good 8 years ago. Thanks for the information.

I too am thinking of picking this phone for my personal cell and I have hated the RAZRs of the past but this phone appears to be way ahead of the pack in many areas. Again, I never thought I would own a Razr but I am a Sony Ericsson fan buy Sony does not have a 3G model out yet??

Hotcoco's issue is most definitely an isolated experience and must have something to do with the area he/she is in or use of the phone. I have tried every Razr out there (on GSM) and this is by far the best. Even the battery life is much improved considering what a light and thin battery it is. My experience with Motorolas has been that they have the best sound quality out there. Motos mimick land line quality closely without that shallow, tin can, inconsistent sound that so many other phones deliver. There have been some low volume issues over the years, but the V3xx corrects that. This week I tried the Nokia 6126. It had some functionality that the V3xx lacks, but the sound quality on calls paled in comparison to the V3xx. So, like ...

Thanks to all who have replied! Dropped by my local Att store this am and played around with the V3xx. The rep will let me take one for the weekend...but it appears fine and the info provided by several folks here has been positive! (I did ask again about the N75...."have not heard any new info on the N75."!)

don't think you can go wrong with the v3xx bro, i have gone through a lot of phones recently and it seems like the v3xx works the best all around(kind of funny how cingy sells it cheaper than the v3r and the v3i when its 20x the phone)

I had the CU500 and the SYNC, i wish i could combine all the feature from the three phones into one phone that i liked,

like the outer display from the cu500 and the rotating camera,

and the 2MP camera from the SYNC with the fast shutter that the v3xx has,

along with the v3xx's faster data speeds and great interior screen(although pretty equivalent to the SYNC)...

and def. the v3xx's voice dialing,

I do wish that the v3xx used the SYNC's web browser, i can download and save images right...

PLEASE!!!!! SOMEONE LISTEN!!!!!

Me, my wife and teenage daughter have had "THIRTEEN" of these V3xx's over the last two months BECAUSE OF THIS "CALL-QUALITY ISSUE".
AND... AT&T has acknowledged it, as well as MOTO !!! BUT !... they say most people are not picking up on it, and it IS otherwise a great phone... so the problem stays... especially with the V9 and it's counterparts on the horizon. The V9 has Crystal-Talk (as you all know). So...

Now back to this problem. It is a slightly-distorted, OVER-BASS-Y, and MUFFLED, sound... and YES, turning off the "Bass Boost" within the Music Player does make a slight difference, very slight.

Most callers sound as if they have their hand in front of their mouth (not covering). It's a thin...
